Case Studies
Sustainability - Funding & Implementation of Green Energy Project
Multiple client manufacturing facilities were experiencing intermittent power outages causing expensive delays in the production process. Complicating matters further was the location, size, and shape of the facility, making supplemental solar solutions too expensive.
We built a strategic plan to solve the problem for our client and other businesses within the same manufacturing zone. A partnership entity was formed, ESG funding programs were identified to reduce the overall cost, rights to utilize nearby land were obtained, and a complete, solar solution was designed and implemented to mitigate the recurring outages. Monthly savings exceeded 25% on average with a planned lifetime of at least 21 years. Additional savings were also realized as other local businesses joined the venture.
ELECTRIC VEHICLE (EV) Proof Of Concept / Public Sector Project
Our client is an innovative pioneer, introducing new business models within the Electric Vehicle (EV) sector. Their goal was to increase accessibility to EVs so that more Malaysians might benefit from the environmental and economic advantages. However, building a country-wide ecosystem for EV usage requires time, government support, and a strong network of partners. To help accelerate their program launch, we created an operating framework and ecosystem of partners beginning with a GLC conglomerate. This collaboration included stakeholders representing the public sector, key technology vendors already active in Malaysia, EPC, funding resources and grants, utilities, transportation and automotive industry, and more. Our team came together with a successful launch of a new, EV aggregator ecosystem, delivering the first-in-kind Proof Of Concept (POC) debuted to the Office of the Prime Minister.
Manufacturing and Transportation Efficiency - Temperature monitoring for cold room and logistics
Our client needed help in maintaining consistent, temperature-monitored cold storage for perishable goods. With strict safety requirements, a need for consistent and reliable early warnings for temperature fluctuations, and compliance policies needing accurate temperature measurements, finding a solution that delivered what was needed within budget was a challenge that would take time and increase risk.
Our team worked together with operations experts to implement near-real-time temperature readings for products in transit and within storage facilities. The solution included monitoring services, a fast-reaction team for troubleshooting issues before expensive failures and spoilage occurred, and delivery verification with signoff and corresponding temperature logs at each step. The solution improved the quality of delivery to ~99.5%, reducing rejection rates by 2.5% across the entire program.
Community Service - Increasing Blood Donation in the Klang Valley
Our client wanted to reduce risk in the collection process and boost public confidence in the blood donation process within the Klang Valley. Monitoring real-time temperatures of donated blood from collection to delivery provides further risk reduction in offering the vital public service as well as improving participation rates from donor volunteers.
We were selected to help build a solution that monitored proper maintenance and temperatures of the entire end-to-end collection reducing the risk and increasing volunteer confidence that their efforts and support are valued and the donation is maintained safely for use in helping the community.
Digitization - asset and people monitoring in Factory Environment
A world-recognized manufacturing client with more than 500 employees working in their KL factory 24x7x365 needed help with their digitization efforts to become IR4.0 certified. The project required a transformation of their workforce management and asset tracking platforms. Also important was workforce safety and security on the factory floor and more efficient resource management within the company.
With our help, a new solution was put in place meeting the goals mentioned above and delivering improvements across multiple functional areas. The calculation of worker hours was completely automated. Real-time location provided improved worker safety and emergency response procedures including an online dashboard and mobile application. Last, automation of equipment and supplies monitoring from the starting point through delivery to their customers has improved overall productivity by 16,000 FTEs yearly.
workforce management mobile app
Our client runs a complex logistics chain with fleets making deliveries through Malaysia. Efficient management and monitoring of deliveries for such a large fleet, from pickup to drop-off can be a daunting challenge. Further complications included proper audit controls and logging to comply with import/export processes. This was largely a manual process that decreased the number of deliveries per vehicle and added overhead costs to the whole operation.
Our client engaged us to simplify the end-to-end process using an innovative mobile application allowing for real-time task assignments and updates to drivers, delivery pickup and drop-off verification and signatures, automated logging and reporting, and compliance process validation. The solution significantly reduced losses due to missed communications, adaptations and last-minute changes, missed documents and signatures, and manual report creation. The completed solution delivered an estimated >16% OPEX savings annually.
